Collectibles has been building birdhouses since 1985. What was once a hobby for family and friends is now a full time business. Many of our designs are from actual homes or businesses. Our houses are mostly made from reclaimed cedar or redwood. This lends perfectly to the antique look that we prefer. Construction is sound by using waterproof glue, hammered and compressed nails and exterior paints. We do not, however, add a coat of sealer. Styles will vary due to the wood, metal , finials and turnings, etc. that we use. This is because we like to use antique products as much as possible. Our birdhouses have twig perches (unless otherwise shown) which are removeable as necessary. The birdhouses also have cleanouts. Either the base removes or there is a cleanout door...usually on the back side.
